Do You Want To Make Healthy Eating Changes, But Keep Putting It Off?
Changing the foods we eat is not always an easy task and can often feel overwhelming.
After all, we tend to reach for the same foods out of ingrained habits we’ve had for a long time. It’s the foods that we’re familiar with that give us comfort. We enjoy their taste, we know how to cook them, and they sustain us in times of stress.
Maybe you’ve considered making changes. You’ve done your homework and read about different health foods. But the thought of spending the money on the expensive superfood is just too stressful. You wonder if you’re even going to like it or if it’s going to help.
I knew that’s how I felt.
Where do you start?
Small steps are the best steps.
For example: Maybe you don’t drink enough water. Just try to add one more glass of water a day.
If you struggle with choosing snacks, think of choosing a piece of fruit and some nuts instead of a muffin or chocolate bar.
Lunches can easily be a salad and/or a vegetable or bean soup.
Go shopping in your fridge and pantry. You can up your veggie intake by making a stir-fry with veggies that need to be used up soon. If you have brown rice sitting in your cupboard, make that instead of white rice for one meal.
Small changes to your diet over time help build healthy habits without feeling overwhelmed.
Have fun with it! And enjoy your food ☺️
